Dh is away and I just couldn’t be bothered to rummage through fridge and freezer to see what I could cook. Had to nip to the corner shop anyway so picked up two packs of SuperNoodles and had both of them.
And a crumpet.
And a Mars Bar.
Enjoyed it! 🙂

Well done to you Witzend you are a free agent.

I had a bowl of cereal with fruit and yoghurt tonight as I have covid and I can’t face cooking. DH has Covid too and said he would sort his own supper.

Hopefully I will lose a bit of weight.

Sometimes it’s nice not to cook and just have whatever you fancy. Im trying to eat healthily but last night it was so dark and miserable I couldn’t be bothered to start cooking so I just had piles of buttered toast and jam with a big mug of tea. I enjoyed it but felt terribly bloated this morning, I don’t usually eat much bread so it was a treat.

"A little of what you fancy does you good," Witzend.
I had what was left of lunchtime's fish chowder and two small slices of cheese on toast. Yummy.

When in on my own in the evening my default meal is a bowl of cereal with dried fruit, prunes ,apricots and raisins.
I love it.

I had some leek and potato soup and a pasty so tasty 😋

My DH is out tomorrow evening so I’m thinking of skipping a main course and just making a ginger sponge syrup pudding in the microwave and eating it with double cream whilst watching rubbish on tv. Bliss.

I just ADORE super noodles! They are my guilty pleasure. They do have to be chicken.

That said I have never even thought of eating TWO packets at one sitting.

Get thee behind me woman. You’re a bad influence.
😊

MissAdventure Fri 18-Nov-22 21:18:54

I like a super noodle sandwich.

Urmstongran Fri 18-Nov-22 21:21:14

Now you’re just being ridiculous.
😁😁😁

MissAdventure Fri 18-Nov-22 21:25:31

Oh you've never lived until you've tried one!
All melty butter, soggy bread, and soft noodles. Yum!

Urmstongran Fri 18-Nov-22 21:28:29

You are obviously a connoisseur of fine dining MissA.
I bow to your knowledge.
Probably over the toilet bowl though ...
🤭

MissAdventure Fri 18-Nov-22 21:30:15

grin

Urmstongran Fri 18-Nov-22 21:31:55

That was rather good (for me) wasn’t it?
😁

MissAdventure Fri 18-Nov-22 21:37:19

It was rather good for anyone, I reckon. smile

I have never eaten a supernoodle, are they like pot noodles? I must Google them now!

MissAdventure Fri 18-Nov-22 22:29:38

I think they're more noodly than pot noodles.

They're softer, and just slither down.

Very satisfying.

CraftyGranny Fri 18-Nov-22 22:43:33

I like a mug shot noodles now and then, Very low on Syns if you follow the Slimming World plan. But not the cheesy ones!

Catterygirl Fri 18-Nov-22 22:53:01

Just tried my very first one. Nothing like pot noodles. Ate about 8 spoons. Terrible. They taste like flour or pastry. No spice. In the bin it’s going.

Witzend Fri 18-Nov-22 23:20:02

Occasionally when I get a yen for SuperNoodles but can’t be bothered to nip to the shop, I simmer some Sharwood’s Medium egg noodles in a little chicken stock, with a little curry powder added. Almost as good as the Proper Article!

MissAdventure Fri 18-Nov-22 23:23:53

I used to like a crispy pancake sandwich.

The cheese ones.

Well, noodly is a hard thing to define, I think.

More like proper noodles, I suppose.

More bland tasting, so you can flavour them yourself if you want to.
Pot noodles are a bit strong tasting for me.
