But just to say we are now living in our new home in Cornwall. Moved in while builders/ decorators / electricians/ plumbers still here almost daily in one capacity or another !
No way are we sorted yet but absolutely love it. Think we could have progressed further apart from the fact that family and friends seem to think we are a free offshoot of Airbnb !!

Thank you ! Has taken a few years and still not quite sure why, at my age , we took on such a project , bloody stupid in retrospect .

hazel93 well done you..

...and that exactly what I don't intend to take on for planned move next year. Has to be up to scratch!

My brother moved to Cornwall years ago and he completely renovated his cottage himself. He loved it there but unfortunately couldn’t find enough steady work so he had to move. But the work he did paid off now someone lives in his lovely renovation.
You have a new home to enjoy now and the effort will be worth it. Best wishes I hope you enjoy it for many years.

It certainly is up to scratch and as future proof as we could make it. Problem being our buyers needed to move earlier than we expected so no option had to "camp" for a time , had hot water, a bed, all services and lovely people working here. Add that to the fact the county is so damn beautiful and a cream tea for brunch is totally acceptable - what's not to like ?
