Is that right? I can’t find it anywhere. One of his two miniature dachshunds called Brenda died recently and Monty missed Gardener’s World for a week. The Dachshunds never appeared on the programme.

Just seen it posted on Monty’s twitter page. It appears she died last night after being diagnosed with cancer in June which is why she hasn’t been on the programme recently. He said she went downhill rapidly and is now buried in the garden next to Nigel. How sad. RIP Nell.

How very sad. I wondered why she hadn’t been on the programme lately.

No, never ‘only a dog’, as they are so much a part of the family. Such sad news of Nell, as she was so very young. Thinking of Monty and his family. ♥️

That’s sad, I liked seeing it pottering about after him on the programme, that breed of dog always seem so affable.

There is a picture on Insta last week or so with his other Dog Peggy she's 13.. Its all 4 dogs such a lovely picture

Bless Nells paws she came across as a lovely gentle Dog.
Such a sad loss for all his family.

How sad. I too wondered why she hadn’t been on GW for quite a while.

We’re coming to the end of the series for this year which always makes me sad and Becky, one of the lovely sisters with Down’s syndrome, who often feature on the programme, has also died.

We love seeing his dogs when they make an appearance on Gardeners World.

Such sad news, I always enjoy watching what the dogs are getting up to, they always seem well trained ( with the odd naughty moment), also the cats that some of the other presenters have. So sorry to hear that Becky has passed away, I had not heard that either, may she rest in peace. Thank you Joseann for letting us know.
