I’ve put my Autumn wreath on the front door and added little (plastic) pumpkins and other bits - all 3 years old now and still going strong. However, as I live where it’s very quiet, there’s been neither sight nor sound of Halloween for 20 years.
Where DD1 lives, just outside Newcastle, it was lovely to walk around her estate last year and see all the little ones and their parents out. Most in costume, the children were encouraged to knock at doors with Halloween decorations or a basket of sweets on the doorstep to help themselves. Lots of householders answered the doors in fancy dress and many houses had giant inflatables on balconies and at ground level. All harmless fun, enjoyed by many.
The ?wreath won’t go up until mid December.
