I purchased an Opatra item from TJC around 12 weeks ago, it is faulty, but Opatra give a Lifetime Warranty. When the item is advertised on TJC (The Jewellery Channel of Sellavision) they proudly boast that any issues are covered by the Opatra Life time Warranty and to contact Opatra Customer Services. I have done so, and oer their instructions, have sent the item back at my expense (tracked), Opatra have confirmed receipt and keep telling me they will be sending a replacement out, eventually saying they are sending it later that day, this is now 2 weeks ago. Trust Pilot has a number of similar issues noted with promises made but nothing happens, so, I have contacted TJC, who are of no help at all, saying take it up with Opatra. I think I have made a mistake in actually returning to Opatra (the Manufacturer), as it was purchased from TJC. I think this has me over a barrel, does anyone know if I may be able to do a Section 75 Credit Card Charge back?

I'm not sure - but it's certainly worth a try. Hopefully, the credit card company can sort it for you. If Opatra give a warranty, they must honour it.

It is the seller who is liable not the manufacturer .

Hi Flora, yes, that is where I think I will have come unstuck. The seller advertise the fact that the manufacturer has this wonderful customer service and warranty and to go direct. I realise I should not have been so trusting.

Just to say, the replacement arrived in the post yesterday, hope this one works.
