Has anyone ever done this for when the internet goes down?

As I run a business its essential that I have a working internet connection wherever I go. The tiny little screen on my smartphone is inadequate for my purposes. I have a tablet which I sometimes us for online bidding and social media such as Pinterest. However I do prefer a "proper" keyboard.

Nephew has now set this up on all my computers so I can connect at the flick of a switch if the BT hub goes down. I still get a pretty decent speed and have even used it for uploading. Ive not yet exceeded my data allowance but EE would just bill me the extra if I did.

I do it a lot. In our lodge I run the tv streaming services from my phone, as well as my laptop and iPad, from which I can use Zoom when I’m working. It’s very easy to do, and is a backup at home if the internet goes down. I have an unlimited data plan, so I’m not worried about using too much.

I do it all the time.
I have a personal phone and a business phone, I use the business phone as it has a better data package.
