Could anyone please recommend a very lightweight vacuum cleaner? I think I would like a corded one, but happy to be persuaded otherwise. Finding housewife undo-able and badly need an upgrade.

*housework! Freudian slip!

I have had a Gtech cordless vacuum cleaner for eight or nine years. I would not like to go back to a cleaner with cord attached. The Gtech is very light weight, easy to use and a charge will do my whole house (four bedrooms). I have a hand held Gtech for the stairs.

I like my Shark.

I'm thinking of going back to using my Dyson cylinder vacuum cleaner because I find using a cordless is sometimes difficult. As you have to keep your finger on the 'on' button all the time, by the time I've vacuumed as long as the battery lasts, my finger is feeling painful.

I bought the Aspiron Small Stick Vacuum Cleaner from Amazon earlier this year and have been very pleased with it.
It has a long cord and is surprisingly powerful.

I have a lightweight cordless Miele.

It is a splendid machine. No keeping you finger on the button and suction to excellent.

The Gtech cordless vacuum cleaner has an in/off switch. You don't keep your finger on the button.
I know someone who has a Dyson cordless and that requires a finger on the button.

Sorry, ON/OFF. Not In/off. grin

Has anyone tried the Samsung Jet75 pet? Is it as good as Which say?

Another vote for the GTech. I've had mine for years (The K9). I like that it can go flat under the beds and has a light. Several friends have bought them after trying mine.
