The UK General Election will be taking place on May 7 2015. We'd like to gather the views of GNers on a variety of topics. Our survey is open to all UK GNers as well as those who are based overseas but able to vote in the UK.

Please find out more background and complete the survey by clicking here.

Add your details at the end and you'll be entered into a prize draw where one GNer will win a £100 voucher for the store of their choice.

Thanks and good luck!

Well, I quite enjoyed getting that off my chest. grin

I don't feel that I should answer questions about social care which apply only in England, so gave up.

Lilygran Wed 25-Feb-15 22:23:30

I feel we should have been given the opportunity of saying what issues concern us rather than a list. Or as well as.

Grannyknot Wed 25-Feb-15 22:57:48

My mother taught me never to tell anyone who I vote for grin so I can't do it.

Anya Wed 25-Feb-15 23:16:32

Did you always do what your mother said GN ? grin

Grannyknot Thu 26-Feb-15 07:30:53

anya yep; and the teacher. I was one of those grin.

Anya Thu 26-Feb-15 07:59:12

I note the use of the past tense GN wink

Grannyknot Thu 26-Feb-15 08:08:37

Well spotted anya!

Done. I had to lie about the ages of my GCs, as two of them are the same age.

My God! It was far too long. Might do it lateI hate that stupid question - "which do you think is most important". It's all bloody important. There is no cop-out available.

AnnGransnet (GNHQ) Thu 26-Feb-15 09:40:45

Lilygran - do feel free to list on this thread any other issues which you feel strongly about - we were conscious of not having too long a survey blush but always interested in knowing what you think!

Done, but like others would have preferred to state the policies which I feel deeply about rather to have been led by the survey compiler.

Lilygran Thu 26-Feb-15 18:43:40

Anne@GNHQ thank you! I'm very concerned about the state of the constitution, especially after the Scottish referendum. I'm also concerned about the House of Lords. Too many peers and the last 'reform' was a disaster. I'm concerned about local democracy and public engagement in politics. I ticked 'education' but my real concern is with the apparent lack of accountability in the present messy system. It affects all levels from nursery to HE. Can't help being a nerd!
