Anyone tried catamanche caesuras in a container?

I picked it out because it’s the right colour and the right shape and height to go with it’s intended future companions in a largeish square container. Now I read that it’s the trickiest fussiest plant alive, and indeed may not be alive very long under my ministration.

It hasn’t come yet so still time to change my mind about the container, but then where to put it where it won’t be eaten by slugs or poison a cat??

Who grows this deceptively beautiful plant. Any thoughts welcome.

Sorry - caerulas (I think)

They’re pretty - rather like Cornflowers. We had them in our last garden, butI don’t think they’re very hardy perennials.

Thanks LucyAnna. I believe they self-seed if you don’t breathe on them at the wrong moment. They do sound good.
