Can you recommend a Jo Malone fragrance?

I've always wanted a Jo Malone fragrance. Can anybody recommend one? I'd ideally like something that's suitable for daytime wear. I already have quite a few heavy, gourmand evening perfumes.
What's your favourite?

Peony and Pink Blush is lovely.

Did you mean Peony & Pink Suede?

FoghornLeghorn Thu 24-Nov-22 15:36:21

Yes, that one. 🙄😂

ops sorry, It's Peony & Blush Suede

Great thanks! There are so many flankers sometimes, I wanted to make sure I had the right one.

Pomegrante noir is lovely

Someone in work was wearing White Moss and Snowdrop, very nice!

Lime Basil and Mandarin is gorgeous.

I like Green Orange and Coriander (I think it’s Jo Loves).

Wood Sage & Sea Salt (my favourite)
Lime, Basil & Mandarin
Orange Blossom
Basil & Neroli
English Oak and Redcurrant

I wear one if these every single day, I feel naked without fragrance.

my favourite is Earl Grey and Cucumber and also like the Lime, basil and mandarin. Cheeky tip to save a LOT of money - try Aldi's range of Jo Malone copies - Number 1 = lime, basil and mandarin. Doesn't last as long but excellent VFM. They do cologne, room spray and other items.

Orange Blossom has been my favourite for many years.

Sadly Jo Malone stepped away entirely from business in 2006 after being diagnosed with terminal breast cancer and losing her sense of smell during intense rounds of treatment. From 2006 through until 2011, Malone was also restricted by Estée Lauder, to sign a non-compete agreement that prevented her from creating fragrances for five years. Heartbreaking decision for her at the time. She said she couldn’t bear to walk round any department stores selling ‘her’ creations.

She now trades under a different brand name with her new stuff.

FoghornLeghorn Thu 24-Nov-22 16:41:08

Jo Loves is her new brand.

Hi Pen Pal, even more in common 😘

My daughter is a big fan of Orange Bitters, which is normally only available in the winter. I like Lime, Basil and Mandarin, And Pomegranate Noir in the evening, I don’t like the more floral scents as much. Your best bet would be to buy a Cologne Discovery set, which is about £15 and has testers of the most popular ones, as you need to try them out on yourself first.

We could be sistas GG13 😁

Can you splash out on a "selection" box (there are a number of these if I remember correctly). Then you are sure to have a fragrance that suits you?

Georgesgran Thu 24-Nov-22 17:38:27

Pomegranate noir for me, but it’s seriously expensive now!

NotSpaghetti Thu 24-Nov-22 17:38:32

Oh I see that whilst I was making tea and toast Casdon has suggested this - a "discovery set".

GrannyGravy13 Thu 24-Nov-22 17:44:31

The staff in Jo Malone shops and even the concessions inside department stores are really helpful and are more than happy to let you sample as many fragrances as you want.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 24-Nov-22 17:46:53

In the tester set you get five fragrances and the £15 is redeemable off of your purchase of chosen fragrance.

Ditto and English Oak and Redcurrant.
Have both, I select depending on where I'm going.

Zara sell the Jo Malone perfume dupes. They have a trial size collection for about £15 think the full sizes are around £25

I love English Pear and Fressia at the moment.

Also always have Lime Basil and Mandarin in my collection.

I was at my local McArthur Glen last week and got 4 9ml bottles in a set,one was Velvet Rose and Oud intense cologne,it is lovely, but expensive, was lucky it was in the little pack.
