My answers must seem a bit strange because I have one grandchild living with me and 6 others I can’t see. I am shielding and that one grandchild has to shield with me so I get lots of hugs but I do miss the rest of them.

Many of you have missed seeing your grandchildren but know you will see them again. I have not seen my grandchildren since 2012 and there are thousands of grandparents like me who have become estranged. Before the nasty comments start - no - it is not my fault. Sons wife jealous, manipulative, and evil. Hurts her children as I was very useful and always available when needed- but jealousy got in the way.

All done I have not seen my grandchildren since before March lockdown I am on the high risk and so far we have not been allowed contact with anyone so I am hoping that this week we will see some relax on what the shielding can do and who we can see. I do face time them but it is not the same.
