Anyone surprised?

MawtheMerrier Wed 07-Dec-22 14:34:28

Better to jump than wait to be pushed!

Chestnut Wed 07-Dec-22 14:38:04

Not surprised, this was obviously going to happen and so what?

Vintagenonna Wed 07-Dec-22 14:40:04

Wonderful Private Eye cover with Hancock looking at a certain portion of a cow's derriere on a plat and the portion looking up at him screeching "it's an axxxxxlx".

GrannyGravy13 Wed 07-Dec-22 14:43:03

It’s a good decision on his part.

MayBee70 Wed 07-Dec-22 15:04:40

He’s a celebrity now, doncha’know.

Nannytopsy Wed 07-Dec-22 15:20:29

As he is our MP, I’m delighted! Perhaps the population may even consider an on Tory?
Oh is that a flying pig?

Nannytopsy Wed 07-Dec-22 15:20:46

A non Tory!!

Blossoming Wed 07-Dec-22 15:30:21

I hope he answers some questions about dodgy PPE contracts and Covid in care homes first.

Grantanow Wed 07-Dec-22 15:40:53

Excellent news for his constituency!

BlueBelle Wed 07-Dec-22 17:02:56

Hooray he won’t starve he thinks he’s a celebrity that every one loves …. Wrooong

eazybee Wed 07-Dec-22 17:02:57

Just please, not on Strictly.

MawtheMerrier Wed 07-Dec-22 17:31:17

Just to put the record straight
The former Health Secretary's announcement that he would not seek re-election came only after the officers of his local Tory Association held a vote of no confidence in him, ruling him 'not fit' to be their MP

😂😂😂

Lucca Wed 07-Dec-22 17:40:34

He talks about dyslexic students getting a few deal from the education system. (Not in my school, they did their best) What a cheek ! Who has consistently underfunded schools so they are struggling to provide support ! Could it possibly be the Tories !

Lucca Wed 07-Dec-22 17:40:57

Raw deal, sorry

It seems iniquitous that after such a vote he is able to continue as the MP until the next election, doesn’t it?

Arrogant man! No loss.

I know it's been said many times before, by why is Johnson keeping the whip when he went way for three holidays?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Thu 08-Dec-22 09:32:03

As Maw has said, I expect he realised that he was at the end of the road and thought he'd jump before he was pushed.

Good question.

but there are still those who thought he should have been brought back as PM.

Urmstongran Thu 08-Dec-22 09:46:46

Not surprised at all Blossoming. I wish this meant we won’t hear from him again, but he thinks he's a celebrity now and won’t go away.

Well, Tyson Fury said he would never fight again....

There is sometimes a world of difference between what people say and what they actually do. Especially this lot!
