I have been trying for many months now to get a diagnosis for a non- urgent medical problem. I have had numerous telephone appointments and two face to face, one with a nurse practitioner and one with a newly qualified, straight out of medical school, doctor. I was about to give up and just put up with the symptoms, then I thought I’d try once more. On Monday I filled out an e- consult form, the next day the surgery rang and offered me a face to face appointment next week, no telephone appointment beforehand.
On Thursday league tables were published of surgery face to face appointments, my surgery registered only 29% while others in the area were 80% and above. Coincidence or what!

Thank you MerylStreep

My surgery registered 88.2% which seems good in comparison.

Streaky
The best treatment I’ve ever had was last November given by a Dr who hadn’t finished his training.
I had a face to face with him at midday, nurse did an ecg, from that he told me to go to the hospital for a blood test, while there he called me to say he’d seen something on the ecg and to go to A&E where they were expecting me.
It was all a bit surreal 😳

Mine registered 93.70%.
I'm not surprised I've always been able to get a face-to-face appointment with a GP, though not necessarily mine. The only time that was not possible was during the pandemic/lockdowns but in all honesty I avoided going to any medical facility during that time.
