He’s called Ned. Isn’t he gorgeous?

I watched GW last night and I didn't see Ned! How lovely he is, I still think about Nigel though; all his dogs have a wonderful life.

I seem to remember that a while before dear old Nigel died, Monty introduced us to a puppy. Last night I assumed the dog with the basket was the same puppy, but now grown up. Monty is obviously teaching Ned tricks, just like Nigel. smile

There's also lovely Nelly, and a Yorkshire terrier called Patti. I'd like to be one of Monty's pets ...

Monty is evidently very fond of his dogs and it is lovely to see that he has an addition to his canine family.......just hope he doesn't start referring to them as his 'fur babies'!

He looks like a Goldie pup, doesn’t he?
I wonder if he’s from the same lines as Nigel or Nellie.

I’m wanting another pup but DH says
NO.

oh beautiful smile

He's lovely. Quite a dark goldie.
We never forget the ones who went before, but Ned will bring lots of fun and love.

Nellie was the dog with the basket last night. According to Monty’s posts on Facebook and twitter, Ned has just arrived.

I saw Nellie on GW last night but no sign of Patti! Hope nothing to worry about.
Ned is adorable and oh how I would love another yellow lab, we have had six but at 72, feel I am too old now to take on another dog for the next 12/13 years. ?

Monty is so cool?

He is gorgeous. The dog is rather lovely too!

Love that pup and what a gorgeous name ?

Sarah74 Sat 17-Sep-22 20:54:25

He still has Nellie and Patti; he went to see the new pup, Ned, last week.

He is lovely ?

I missed GW last night as I was in Windsor.

I seem to remember Monty got little Patti because his son said another big retriever like Nigel would be too much to handle. Nellie is getting more of a character carrying the basket last night, but Monty has succumbed to get another retriever after all. Ned looks gorgeous. Look forward to seeing all 3 dogs together.

I bet he wreaks havoc "on set" in between his little naps.

Oh what an adorable puppy smile I've said I won't have another dog - our little 'un is 11 now - but when I look at photos like the ones on here I feel I will definitely weaken!

I’m going to get my DS’s puppy to watch Gardener’s World, so he can learn how to behave when gardening ?.
I love getting glimpses of Nellie and Patti.

How lovely smile Ned looks such a cuddly little puppy.

Why not get an older rescue? I’m 71 and have just adopted a wonderful 7 year old GSD. At my age I wouldn’t take on a puppy and risk it outliving me.

Totally agree - much as I love Monty/GW, and Ned looks really cute, it would set a good example to have a rescue dog, rather than a pedigree puppy (assuming of course that Ned wasn't a rescue puppy).

I thought that but didn’t dare say it! Thanks!
