Cut back primula foliage?

I had a wonderful show this year. Now there are lots of browning leaves. Do you cut these back or not?

I'd just leave them where they are to rot down and provide nutrients in the soil for next season.

OTOH,if you find them offensive, cutting them back won't harm the plants, they've finished with them.

My OH just mows over them and they come back every year it seems to spread them too as we tend to get more each spring
