My MIL has since entered a home due to Alzheimer's and she needs new vests. There isn't a lot in the shops not for her age M&S forget it and I've tried other stores too
Do you have any suggestions where I might try?

Have you looked at Damart?

why do they have to be different for 90 year olds ?
aren't vests just vests, whoever is wearing them.
would have thought it's one of the easiest things to find buy.
i go to street markets, plenty of vests there, inc thermal at this time of year.

We tried John Lewis but they only had long sleeved in our store which were not wanted. No sleeveless vests at all.

I was about to say that, Welbeck. They won't have "Age 90-95" on the label like they have "Age 3-4". Just look for vests.

She will probably prefer them to be warm, with wide shoulder straps, and long enough to tuck into her knickers. Get hold of one of her existing vests to know the size and general shape and then use your own judgment.

I found it awkward buying any clothes for older ladies.
The only place I could find cotton vests and knickers were markets. The stalls which sell socks and underwear. Worth a look if you are able.
Otherwise google maybe, though I always like to See things beforehand as quality may be poor.
Be prepared fir lots of things to go missing so label it well.
I hope your mil is settling in.

There are plain sleeveless interlock cotton T-shirts around which are really only coloured vests. Many colours plain and patterned. Buy one and see whether she accepts it then get more. There are short sleeves too - they would be warmer for winter.

I just wear cotton sleeveless t shirts as a vest. I’ve got some M&S ones that are tight fitting and quite long. I feel the cold really badly so tend to layer up in the winter.

Does she have any specific needs, such as need to be front fastening if she can’t raise her arms to put them over her head? If not I think Damart is your best bet.

I have just taken delivery of three x2- packs of thermal vests , four with built up shoulders and two with long sleeves from M&S. Comfortable, warm , white, grey and black. I’ll try to find some pics but heartily recommend!

I bought some thermal ones from Damart just before covid. Lovely, soft and warm (my winter football match vests!!)

I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for but, in her 90s, my mother liked the Damart thermal vests with long sleeves.

There are quite a few but she liked these: www.damart.co.uk/long-sleeved-vest-60661-3.html?color_filterable=37704&top_size_label=35046

Have you tried The Able Label ? It’s an British company with a lot of pure cotton products and specialises in clothes that are easy to put on with or without help for stroke patients etc.

My 90 year old mother likes the Damart vests.

I’ve just bought some long sleeved thermal vests from Tu clothing. There’s 20% off at the moment.

Google British Thermals, they may have the type of vests you are looking for.

There is a big choice on Ebay.
