Where can I buy online a Model Commercial Airplane, for a Birthday gift for my 11 year old Grandson. He wants it on a stand to display on his desk. I have tried everywhere I can think of online, but would be grateful for any input from those in the know (also I’m not expecting to spend much more than £20 for it), thanks in anticipation.

Have you tried Amazon ?

Amazon and Ebay are your friends on this.

Hi both, yes tried the usual, its the specific model choice I cant find on Amazon or Ebay, so wondered about a model plane retailer type shop. Thank you.

Surely if you enter the model name in Google it will find a retailer for you. If nothing comes up on Google then it probably doesn't exist.

There are also Airfix models which would be great fun for your grandson to make the model and paint it himself. He would be so proud.

There are model airplanes with stands on etsy.com if that's any use? smile

I don’t know if it’s what you’re looking for, but I was just browsing the Aldi specialbuys, and there are lots of model aircraft Airfix kits on sale from tomorrow.

I have just googled and Flightstore.co.uk have some, haven't looked At the whole site but the one that came up first was £25, not a model kit but does have to be snapped together. Also Etsy have some.

How about hobbycraft ? Good luck x

Have you tried British Airways online shop or any other large airline online shop?

They always have commercial planes on stands in their inflight shop magazines and should be available online.

A model and hobby store?

I ordered one years ago and it was a good replica but smaller than I thought so check the description.
A good one might be more than £20 though.

Trying all these, thanks, he wants a desk model of any of these…..Tui Boeing 787, Easy Jet A320 or A380. Ive tried Tui and Easyjet but items are for Duty Free On-Board purchases. Here’s me thinking I would just go to a Toy Store or Argos lol. Seems like it will have to be the click together type kit, which he might enjoy doing. Thanks all.

For an 11yr old plenty of Airfix kits for £20 or so, I remember my brother doing them years ago, not as easy as you think

I think you should up your price, for a start!
I'm sure they were about £20 when my children were little, and my youngest is now 30.

Plenty at a higher price, if you have a budget you have to stick to it, I have 12 grandchildren and it gets very costly,

Another vote for AMS, already given, not cheap though but top quality. Many airlines and in various guages.
